I know it's a bit late for new year blogs, 2 weeks since 2009 started, but better late than never. Although, I guess this says something about me and the word that would best describe me: Procrastination.

This is my big problem in life and I've been thinking about it for some time: what on earth is wrong with me always leaving things for the last minute?? Why do I keep promising over and over I'll get more ambitious, work harder, and all that and always fail? After all, I've turned 25 and I gotta think about my future. If I die tomorrow, I want to look back and see I've achieved something I can be proud of.

One thing I tried was to try and scare myself out of it, so I told my brother he'd get money every time I played games before homework is done. That didn't increase my productivity one bit, although it made my brother a couple of ebay-items richer.

Another attempt was to do something cool that would potentially be so inspiring it could raise my spirits to the sky. That worked for a little while, but not even a trip to Japan could really kick my ass out of lazy-mode, although it certainly has made me more bitter over what a depressing place I live in (Sweden). XD

Now lastly, standing here at the edge of my anniversary of having spent a quarter of a century doing absolutely nothing with my life, I thought I'd give it ONE more try before I become one with the gray masses:
I read some time ago that the key to success is setting goals that will excite you. I've set many goals in the past but they never helped me. The reason was that I didn't see the the key word in there: "EXCITE". A goal that is exciting is one that sounds absolutely insane and that no one actually believes will ever turn into reality.
Well, I found such a goal. Actually it's 4 but they're related, and no, I can't say what they are because like I said, you'd think I'm crazy.

I gotta admit though, when I first thought of them, even I thought I'd gone crazy, cause they're really... crazy. But for the first time in my life, I actually feel like I have something to look forward to and that hell, why wouldn't it be possible? Bill Clinton set the goal to become president, Spielberg to become the biggest movie director... And I mean, just a few days ago, I won an auction I was only seconds away from losing and I won it because of a series of funny events so it ain't over til it's over. XD
I know it doesn't compare, but what I'm trying to say is that anything is possible if you DARE to think it's possible and also, never ever give up. That seems to be the problem with dreams to begin with: we don't dare to think something so amazing could ever happen to us, but that's just an opinion and not the truth.

I'd like to finish off by wishing everyone a wonderful new year and to remember that no matter what your dream is, the only thing stopping it is whether you dare to reach out for it. And work very, very, very hard for it. But then again, if you have such a crazy insane wonderful dream, it shouldn't be too high a price to pay
